Multiple foundations.. which one do I use??
There are so many times when I first started with make-up application to my own face that I had no idea which foundations to use, and what skin types are used for which ones.
It's so confusing - I know!
To break it down easier, I have always thought of this in two ways:
1. what is your skin type? Oily? Dry? Combination?
2. what is your skin color?
Whatever your answers were to these two questions, it becomes easy what type of foundation that you need to be looking for. For example; I am very dry in the winter but have a oily T-Zone in the summertime. (Meaning I need two completely different foundations for each season) Not all people need that but i prefer it that way.
When I bought my first foundation, I'm thinking it was along the lines of CoverGirl (nothing wrong with CoverGirl) but it did not look nice on my face, probably also due to application and not blending enough. As I started to work my way through different foundations, I found MAC Pro Longwear foundation - this is still one of my all-time faves!!
Finally to today, I have many that I choose from - if I use tanner then I need a darker color, if I have blemishes I use a full-coverage foundation (Make-Up Forever HD) and if I not bothered at all I usually go for a Tinted moisturized (Clinque). It all depends on what you like:
Coverage? Full-coverage? Barely there?
When picking out your foundation, base it on what you are looking for in your look.
Hope this helps my magnificent make-up loves!
